In October, the University of La Verne Board of Trustees directed the administration and faculty to examine the American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law program in the College of Law and to provide recommendations on the future direction of the program. Study at, or graduation from this law school may not qualify a student to take the bar examination or be admitted to practice law in jurisdictions other than California. This review was intended to determine whether continuing with the ABA-accredited law program in its current configuration, or an alternative, would be both financially sustainable and aligned with the mission and values of the university.
